The Ninth National Lawyer Congress was held in Beijing from March 30^th to April 1^st. Meng Jianzhu, member of the Political Bureau, chief of the Political and Judiciary Commission under Centrial Committee of the Communist Party of China, Guo Shengkun, State Councilor, deputy chief of the Political and Judiciary Commission under Centrial Committee of the Communist Party of China, section chief of Ministry of Public Security, Zhou Qiang, president of Supreme People’s Court, Cao Jianming, chief procurator of Supreme People’s Procuratorate and other leading comrades attended the opening ceremony in the Great Hall of the People, and awarded the advanced individuals and collectives for conferring honourable title of “National Excellent Law Firms” （awarded 100 law firms）and “National Excellent Lawyer” (awarded 200 lawyers).

Work Report of the Eighth Council of the China Lawyers Association, Financial Work Report of the Eighth Council of the China Lawyers Association and Articles of Association of China Lawyers Association (revised draft) were considered and passed on the meeting. The Ninth Council of the China Lawyers Association, the General Affairs Council, the president and vice-president were also choosed on the meeting. Mr. Wang Junfeng was reelected as the president of the Ninth China Lawyers Association.

Mr. Yang Jiajun, president of Dalian Lawyers Association, director of Fada Law Firm, attended the metting, and was reelected as member of the council of the Ninth China Lawyers Association. On the opening ceremony, Director Yang Jiajun accpted the award from the national leadership as the representative of National Excellent Lawyers.
